A Wee Bit More Background?

Who is Nabilah?

As you can already hopefully see, I am a colorful human being! Currently based in Kortrijk, Belgium, I am a Digital Design & Development (aptly referred to as Devine) student at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen (aptly referred to as HOWEST). I was not born here, though. I hail from sunny Malaysia!

Humble Beginnings

Haha, this is actually a stab at my previous alma mater's song. I have a background in medicine, having obtained my MBBS at the University of Cyberjaya, and worked in Malaysian government hospitals for about 5 years as a fully-provisioned medical doctor. Having dedicated my entire life to the pursuit, my years of studying towards being--and working as--a doctor shaped me as a person. Alas, it was not meant to last. I bowed out amicably from government service and medicine for good, with my move to Belgium.

Current Track

Of course, I believe we're all shaped by our past experiences. As a Devine student, though I enjoy all aspects of the studies with the (not-so) occasional struggles, I tend to lean towards the pursuit of making people's lives better with my work. Experience design is thus dearest to my heart. Despite how new I am to the pillars of Devine, I would like to believe I have a bit of range in all of them: design, development, and (UX) research.
